Last Days

Elder Corbeil's last days, before his two year mission, were spent with family and friends. His last home cooked dinner was one of his favorites. Steak, garlic potatoes, veggies, and salad. The only thing that was missing was one of mom's home-made Apple pies made from scratch. Elder Corbeil was pretty disappointed that he was not able to taste that sweet and yummy pie with a plastic fork (because the metal forks disturbs the wonderful taste).

The next morning Elder Corbeil took a flight to Salt Lake to enter the MTC (mission training center). This is where he will learn Spanish and also other gospel doctrine for his mission. But before his flight, he was able to spend about two hours with his family. Where we took pictures, hugged, and said our good-byes. We're surprised that mom held it together so well. We were expecting the water works. But she was strong for Elder Corbeil. He was able to board his plane and had a safe trip to Utah. And now the hard and very rewarding part begins...

We love you Elder Corbeil!

  1. "Elder Corbeil's last days were spent with family and friends." Sounds more like an obituary rather than a mission send off!

I'm glad you were able to spend lots of time with him before he left, again, our prayers will be with him.
